Rebecca Woodcock

Owner Podiatrist

Bec_01Rebecca graduated from University of Western Sydney in 2000 and has worked in private practice, a High Risk Foot Clinic and taught podiatry at University of Western Sydney.  In 2003 she purchased Footology Miranda, which she sold in June 2009.  In May 2005 she bought Footology Five Dock, which was a one Podiatrist practice that had been in the area for 18 years. The practice now occupies 3 Podiatrists and enjoys the team approach in the multidisciplinary environment of Five Dock Medical Centre.  She has recently been lucky enough to join Abbotsford Family Medical Practice’s team.

Rebecca's main areas of interest are biomechanics and diabetes related foot complications.  Rebecca is passionate about educating the public about what Podiatry can do to help foot and leg pain. She is involved in a marketing and events committee with the Australian Podiatry Association, focuses on education of patients in the practice, and has presented at several events.  She is also a member of the Australian Businesswomen's Network and recently completed a business mentoring program. 

Currently, she owns and runs Footology which is based in Abbotsford Family Medical Practice and Five Dock Medical Centre, while teaching podiatric clinical practice and practice management to podiatry students at the University of Newcastle.

Charlotte Bodell

Podiatrist

CharlotteCharlotte graduated from , UK in 2005.  She has experience in both public and private sectors of podiatric practice here in Australia and in the UK.  She spent a few years in the National Health Service (UK) consulting on wound care, paediatric and general foot care clinics.  The majority of her work was with high risk patients, which has allowed her to develop her skills by liaising with specialist consultants to ensure that the patients receive the highest possible care and team work being the ultimate priority to ensure this level of care is achieved.  

Having worked in both public and private entities, she sees the importance of screening and continuing care podiatrists offer people with Diabetes and other foot pathologies. 


Cathy Harris

Podiatrist

Cathy graduated from the Institute of Technology in 1991 and has worked in private practice on the South Coast of NSW and in Townsville QLD; in the public sector in Sydney's inner west and western suburbs and her own practices in Sydney.  She spent five years in the U.K where she graduated with a post graduate degree from Brighton University and worked in the National Health Service, her own private practice and in the Diabetes Unit at Kings' College Hospital in London.  Cathy also worked part time at Footology, Five Dock, from 2005-2007 before heading overseas to work as a volunteer in Thailand.  Since her return from Thailand, Cathy has rejoined Footology on a part time basis. 

Having worked in many areas of podiatry, Cathy's current interest is in public and patient education, with an emphasis on preventative treatment and footwear.   She also has an interest in geriatric podiatry and enjoys promoting foot health through lectures to various community groups.

As a member of the Australian Podiatry Association, Cathy is committed to her own continuing education as well as a supporter of ongoing research and development within the podiatric profession.


Darrell Cochrane

Podiatrist, home visits

Darrell has set himself up as a Home Visit Podiatrist for Footology patients who cannot make it into one of the practices.  All clinics are accessible by wheelchair and this service is strictly for the elderly or disabled who are confined to home.  To arrange an appointment with him, please call the clinic closest to you and we can organise an appointment.

 

Brittany Michael

Receptionist

BrittanyBrittany is a Physiotherapy student who also manages the hectic combination of Podiatry, Physiotherapy and Dietitics. Brittany's role is to support Crista and look after Reception on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and on Saturdays. Nothing gets past her, she is extremely organised and will ensure all is running efficently.


 


Gabrielle Maston

Dietitian, Changing Shape, Five Dock

Gabrielle is an accredited practicing Dietitian/Nutritionist and Exercise physiologist.  Gabrielle is the owner of Changing Shape. She graduated from the University of Sydney with honors’ in Nutrition and Dietetics.  Gabrielle’s nutrition articles can be regularly viewed in popular magazines. 

Her Dietetic clinic comprises of client focused dietary planning and counseling. You’re nutrition plan is tailored to your lifestyle and focused on your health desires.  Losing weight or modifying your eating patterns can really change your life. Energy levels rise, attitudes change and you feel like a new person.  With the right help it’s surprisingly easy to do.

Gabrielle’s warm and friendly personality helps you to quickly feel comfortable. Her passion for her work will ensure you are provided every opportunity to achieve your goals and optimal health.

Matthew Wehbe

Physiotherapist, Five Dock Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre

Matt

Matthew is the principle physiotherapist and owner of Five Dock Physiotherapy & Sports injury Centre. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 2004. Matthew is currently the head physiotherapist for APIA Leichhardt Tigers in the NSW Premier League (Soccer) and assists with injury prevention and awareness with local clubs such as Abbotsford Football Club.

In the past Matthew has worked as the head physiotherapist at Sydney United FC, and provided sports coverage for West Harbour Rugby Union Club, Marconi Stallions Soccer and various Winter Super League Soccer clubs.

Matthew is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia, Physiotherapy Business Australia and Sports Physiotherapy Australia. 

Matthew believes strongly in addressing the biomechanical compensations that occur with an injury so that surrounding musculoskeletal structures aren’t adversely affected and a recurrent or chronic condition doesn’t develop.


Kenny Elias

Physiotherapist, Five Dock Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre

Kenny

Ken has been an active member of The Australian Physiotherapy Association and its Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy speciality groups for three years.

 

In his time as a physiotherapist time Ken has worked with a variety of sports including: soccer, rugby and AFL and spent 1.5 years as an active reservist in the Australian Army. Currently, Ken looks after the APIA Leichhardt Tigers in the NSW Premier League (Soccer) and assists with injury prevention and awareness with local clubs such as Abbotsford Football Club.

Ken’s clinical areas of interest include rehabilitation of lower limb injuries and treatment of the neck, shoulder and lower back. He is Work Cover certified and proficient in the application of fiberglass plaster casts.

Ken is passionate about educating all his patients on the biomechanical aspects of their conditions, including the impact of poor posture, and the compensations that occur as a result of their injury.
